LOCATION & START/FINISH

Our Annual Event (RAIN or SHINE)  is one big family oriented All-Day party with tons of excellent food from local businesses, entertainment & music, bounce house inflatables, ice cream, massage therapists, Ferrari Concorso, giveaways, wonderful people and camaraderie between particpants. 

  • We average around 800 participants each year and 2019 marked our 10th year. 

  • ERRACE starts and finishes at the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center, 80 Fisher Drive, Avon CT 06001.

Our event will take place RAIN or SHINE.

Event Schedule:

  • 100 Mile road ride begins: 7:00am

  • 50 Mile road ride begins: 8:00am

  • 25 Mile road ride begins: 10:00am

  • 5km Run/ Walk will begin at 11:00am

Pre-registration check-in and registration opens 1 hour before your event start time - Be There!

PARKING

Parking: Please know that only handicap parking will be available at the Cancer Center during event hours (permits are required), all other traffic will be directed to designated parking areas.  Sorry for any inconvenient and Thank you.

 

Parking will be available at the Avon Board of Education Building, Sperry Park, The Marriott Hotel (back lot), CREC building and the Cassel building both on Fisher Drive as well as all parking areas on Ensign Drive.  There will be parking signs to direct you and volunteers at the entrance to the cancer center to help out.

RECOMMENDATIONS

We strongly encourage all to pre-register.  We will cap pre-registration at 800.  Online registration will close on or before Thursday July 11th at 11:59 PM. You may register the day of the event but pre-registration is strongly encouraged & helpful.  Please come join us for this exciting cause-worthy event!

Dont Forget These Items:

Shoes, Helmet, Bike, Computer, Water Bottles, Sunglasses, Gloves, Pump, Cash, ID, Cue Sheet, Tool Bag with; Tube, Tools, CO2, Inflator, Gu or similar, Fully Charged Phone, Course Director's phone number: 413-246-1856 (Robert Carmen).  Make a list!

Eat plenty of carbs the day before and for breakfast.  Try a runner's / cyclist's breakfast burrito:  Tortilla with Banana, Peanut Butter, Jelly & some raisins.  Allow time for food to digest.
